Students are required to activate their webcam and microphone to be present, and visible, throughout the duration of the course (with bathroom breaks and lunch as exceptions). Students will not receive a certificate of completion if the student is not visibly present, in front of the webcam, for more than 42 minutes total (minutes accumulate until training is complete) [There are 420 training minutes in the course; 42 minutes is 10% of course training minutes]. This accountability will be monitored by a staff member present in the Zoom training.
Students will be provided the staff members name, at the beginning of class, and students will use the Zoom 'chat' function to message the staff member with the word 'out' when turning off the webcam and the word 'in' when the webcam is reactivated. Written reasons for deactivation are not permitted and will not be entertained. There are no exceptions to this policy. There are no refunds. Rescheduling will only be permitted if the course has not started; once the course starts, there is no rescheduling and the 'visible' attendance policy controls.
